Eva Jones Meeks, 89, of Wilson went to be with the Lord Saturday with her family by her side. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.  The Rev. Fred Scott will officiate. The family will receive friends 7 – 9 p.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of Judy Deans Rasberry, 6004 Alton Road, Lucama. Eva is survived by her children, David Meeks and wife, Pam, Linda Askew, Becky Sutton and husband, Charles, Betty Owens and husband, JT, Mike Meeks and wife, Faye and Ray Meeks and wife, Judy; her grandchildren, Terry Owens and husband, Fred, Alan Owens and wife, Cheryl, Judy Deans Rasberry, Susie Adams Rice & husband, Melvin, Eddie Adams and wife, Jennifer, Kimberly Meeks Truett and husband, Jody, Jennifer Meeks Wade and husband, Russell, Pamela Meeks Cason and husband, Mike, Michele Meeks Griggs and husband, Alex, Rusty Sutton, Julianne Meeks, Allison Adkins Morton and Heather Boykin; her eighteen great-grandchildren; her two great-great-grandchildren; her niece, Becky Atkinson and her nephew, John Dee Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Meeks; her parents, Sidney and Nallie Jones; her three sisters and one brother.
