Evelyn Lee Strickland

Evelyn Lee Strickland November 17, 1927 – August 10, 2018 Evelyn Lee Strickland, 90, of Wilson passed away Friday. Her funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Maplewood Cemetery. The Rev. Ray Wells will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Park Way, Wilson and other times at the home of her son Keith Strickland. Evelyn is survived by her son, Keith Strickland and wife, Michelle of Sims; grandson, Kyle of Sims; five nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Fannie Rice Lucas; sisters, Eunice Ferrell, Ellen Lucas Mercer and Ruth Lucas Mercer. In lieu of flowers donations for Kyle’s college fund may be directed to Keith Strickland, 7131 Land Rush Road, Sims, North Carolina 27780.
