Franklin Eugene Adams

Franklin “Frank” Eugene Adams, 73, of Wilson passed away Sunday. A funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Steve Strickland will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Frank served his country honorably with the U.S., Air Force and served 25 years with Wilson City Fire Department retiring as an Assistant Fire Chief. He was a kind gentle soul and he treated others the way he wanted to be treated. He loved his God, his family and his country and he lived it every day. Frank is survived by his wife, Wynona O’Briant Adams of the home; his daughters, Renee A. Collingwood of Wilson and Lori “Candy” A. Davis and husband, Keith of Middlesex; his son, Mark F. Adams and wife, Donna of Wilson; granddaughters, Lorianne Tant, Nicole Adams, Kellie Davis Hodgin and husband, Joshua, Chelsea Davis; his grandsons, Chris Collingwood, Andy Adams and wife, Christie and Justin Davis and wife, Camille; his great-grandson, Jackson Davis; his sisters, Dorothy Balance of Wilson, Eilleen Boyette and husband, Paul of Kenly and his brothers, Cecil Adams and wife, Ann of Clayton and Lonnie C. Adams of Kenly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Arthur Adams and Elsie Ivey Adams and his brother, Robert A. Adams.
