Franklin D. Medlin June 23, 1941 – September 29, 2017 Franklin D. Medlin, 76, of Wilson passed away Friday. His funeral service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. LaVon Phillips will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Franklin is survived by his wife, Grace Medlin of the home; daughter, Diane Lucas and husband, Mark of Wilson; granddaughter, Amber Bass; grandsons, Bryan Bass, Jason Lucas and Jerimy Lucas and wife, Riley; great-granddaughters, Hadley Lucas, Allibelle Lucas and McKinley Bass; great-grandson, Levi Bass; brothers, Charles Medlin and wife, Monica of Ft. Pierce, Florida and Nathan Medlin and wife, Judy of Zebulon. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kim Bass; parents, James Henry and Leecy Lewis Medlin; brother, J.C. Medlin.
