Frazier McLean “Mac” Edwards, II, 79, of Wilson passed away Sunday.  A funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  A graveside service with Military honors will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC.  The Rev. Jerry Nelson will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. “Mac” was retired from the US Army Reserve after thirty-three years of dedicated service as Master Sargent. He was a member of Westmorland Pentecostal Holiness Church. “Mac”  is survived by his wife of thirty-one years, Linda Rose Page Edwards of the home; his daughters, Donna E. Spangler and husband, John of Pikeville and Mary Caroline Hedgepeth and husband, Chad of Greenville; his step-daughter, Dianne O’Briant and husband, Butch of Wilson; his son, Stephen R. Edwards and wife, Marge of Bailey; his step-son, Jimmie Page and wife, Lynn of Beaufort; his grandchildren, Christopher Barnes, Jeremy Barnes, Shane Page, Brad Page and Kim Coleman; his great-grandchildren, Cassie Coleman, Keenan Coleman, Emily Barnes and Mycah Page; his sister, Anita Taylor and husband, Bill of Cocoa, Florida; and his brother, Kirby Edwards and wife, Peggy of Rockledge, Florida. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Faye Edwards; his parents, Frazier McLean and Lucy Mae McCurry Edwards and his step-sons, Delton Page and Phillip Page. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1305 Navaho Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC  27609. The family would like to extend their appreciation for the care and compassion rendered by his caregivers; Heather, Christine, Brad, Jackie, Lisa and Vickie.
