Frederick Allison Fulghum

Frederick Allison Fulghum July 17, 1934 – August 25, 2016 Frederick “Freddie” Allison Fulghum, 82, of Rock Ridge passed away Thursday. A graveside will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in Marsh Swamp Original FWB Church Cemetery, 6664 Rock Ridge School Road, Sims. The Rev. Ray Wells will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home of his son, Stephen Fulghum. Freddie was a lifelong farmer and charter member of the Rock Ridge Volunteer Fire Department. He was a loving father, grandfather, step-grandfather, and a friend to all that knew him. He will be dearly missed and thought of often. Freddie is survived by his sons, Frederick Allison Fulghum, Jr. and wife, Patricia, Stephen Thomas Fulghum and wife, Kim, both of Rock Ridge and John Wesley Fulghum; his grandchildren, April Fulghum Murphy and husband, Dylan, Allen Fulghum, Carly Fulghum, Crystal Fulghum, Stevie Fulghum, and Jonathan Fulghum; step-grandchildren, Hosa Garcia, Tamara Lowe and husband, David, Eric Jones, and Joseph Thompson, and a great-grandchild, Nathan Batten. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Robbins Fulghum, and his brother, James Fulghum. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Marsh Swamp Original FWB Church, Building Fund, 6504 Rock Ridge School Road, Wilson, North Carolina 27893 or to a charity of one’s choice.
