Fredrick “Freddie” Joyner Stott, 75, passed away on Monday, January 15. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 19 at 2:00 pm at Impact Church of Wilson, 3338 Corbett Avenue, Elm City. Interment will immediately follow at Mt. Zion FWB Church Cemetery, Johnson Farm Road, Kenly. Reverend David List will officiate.
Family will receive friends on Friday, January 19 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Impact Church of Wilson and at other times at the home.
Freddie had a passion for fishing and you could often find him feeding the fish. He also loved traveling, especially on bus tours, as well as dancing. More than anything, he loved spending time with his grandsons. The family would like to thank Sandra Nichols, Lou Lewis, Lois Strickland, and Heartland Hospice of Raleigh for their invaluable care and compassion as Freddie’s caregivers.
Freddie is survived by his loving wife, Audrey Weaver Stott of the home; grandsons, Lance Stott and Dalton Stott; and step-grandson, Campbell Sollars.
Freddie was preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Crocker Stott; son, James Ashley Stott; and his parents, Iredell Stott, Jr. and Carrie Joyner Stott.
