Garland Eugene Lucas, Sr.

Garland Eugene Lucas, Sr., 90 of Bailey passed away Friday, April 26, 2024.   A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2024, at Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church, 5854 Shiloh Church Road, Wilson.  Interment will follow in Bailey Town Cemetery, Bailey.   Rev. Danny Harris will officiate. 

The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 1 – 1:45 p.m. at Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church, Wilson.

Eugene was a 1952 graduate of Rock Ridge High School.  He held many offices at Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church over the seventy-three years that he was a member.  Eugene was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him.  He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. 

Eugene is survived by his loving wife of seventy years, Frances Lucas of the home; sons, Garland Lucas, and wife, Kim of Wilson, and Doug Lucas and wife, Lisa of Pilot Mountain; granddaughter, Brittany Lucas and husband, Eduardo

 of Pennsylvania; grandsons, Tyler Lucas and wife, Ashley of Shoals, and Travis Lucas and wife, Britton of Rocklin, California; great-granddaughters Lila Smith, Ayla Lucas, and Sutton Lucas; great-grandsons, Reese Lucas, and Winston Lucas; sister, Velma Davis, and his brother, Blaine Lucas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Mattie Lucas; sisters, Frances Lucas, and Hazel Dixon and his brothers, Roman Lucas, Junior Lucas, and Leland Lucas.
