Geneva Taylor Schrader

Geneva “Ginny” Taylor Schrader, 83 of Wilson passed away Friday. Her funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Farmington Heights Church of God, 910 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Interment will follow in Rocky Mount Memorial Park, 4454 Dortches Boulevard, Rocky Mount. The Rev. Ken Boyd, Rev. LaVon Phillips and Rev. Jason Gabbard will officiate.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of her daughter, Missy Lamm.
Ginny was a member of Bailey Church of God for fifty years, where she taught Sunday school, played the piano and sang, which she loved. Traveling, cooking and loving her family was the light of her life. Ginny was an avid sports fan especially for the Duke Blue Devils and N.C. State. She was a wonderful friend to everyone, she was an excellent listener and confidant. Ginny was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed and thought of often with memories that will always bring a smile.
Ginny is survived by her daughters, Elaine W. Huffman of Smithfield, Kim W. McLean and husband, Dale of Fayetteville and Missy W. Lamm and husband, Jay of Wilson; son, Eddie Williams and wife, Michelle of Fayetteville; granddaughters, Lindsay M. Ballard and husband, Anton, and Mariah Williams; grandsons, Paul Huffman and wife, Rene, Erik Huffman, Christian Williams and wife, Morgan and Parker Lamm and wife, Maddi.; great-granddaughter, Autumn Karsko; great-grandson, Maverick Williams; sisters, Beebee Hunt and husband, Rev. Franklin, Florence Johnson and husband, Charles, Rachel Skinner and husband, Mitchell and Lois Williams and husband, Donnie and her brothers, Tim Taylor and wife, Liz, Sam Taylor and wife, Shelia and Phil Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Edward G. Williams; second husband, Stephen O. Schrader, Sr.; parents, J. Albert and Mamie Worrells Taylor; sisters, Rebecca Perry and Jeanette Bissette and her brother, Tommy Taylor.
