George Royce Quinn
December 20, 1939 – August 1, 2017
George Royce Quinn, 77 of Macclesfield passed away Tuesday. His funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Macclesfield Town Cemetery. The Rev. Corrine Coley will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 7 – 9 p.m. Friday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home.
Royce was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and a friend to all that knew him. He served his country with honor and pride with the U.S. Navy and he was stationed on the USS Neosho. Royce was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
Royce is survived by his loving wife of thirty-three years, Brenda Quinn of the home; his daughter, Kandy Quinn of Pinetops; his step-daughter, DeAnne Barber and husband, Rex of Zebulon; step-son, Brandon Pridgen and wife, Jill of Fredericksburg, Virginia; granddaughter, Nicole Quinn; his grandson, Tyler Quinn; step-granddaughter, Brandi Barry and husband, Joseph; step-grandsons, Justin Barber, Chaston Pridgen, and Brevan Pridgen; great-grandson, Riley Quinn; his sisters, Peggy Miller and husband, Tom of Texas, and Brenda Arrington of Elm City, and his brother, Jerry Quinn and wife, Diane of Picayune, Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Quinn.
