Gertie Meacombs Price February 8, 1925 – November 1, 2015 Gertie Meacombs Price, 90, of Wilson passed away Sunday. Her funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. Floyd Norris and Jim Sherrard will officiate. The family will receive friends 7 – 9 p.m. Wednesday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the family home. Gertie is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Hogg and husband, Lynwood of Wendell; her sons, Douglas H. Price of Raleigh and Donald P. Price and wife, Sharon of Wilson; her granddaughter, Christel G. Hogg of Wendell; her grandsons, Tracy B. Hogg & wife, Jennifer of Zebulon, Daniel P. Price and wife, Jennifer of Wisconsin, and Phillip A. Price of Wilson; her great-grandsons, Zachary B. Hogg and Cooper J. Hogg; and her sister, Annie Pearl Bunn of Wilmington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard J. Price, and her daughter, Judy C. Cooke.
