Gertrude Strickland Saunders

Gertrude Strickland Saunders June 7, 1922 – July 27, 2018 Gertrude Strickland Saunders, 96, of Middlesex passed away Friday. Her funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Stony Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 9646 Stoney Hill Church Road, Middlesex. Interment will follow in Spring Hope Memorial Gardens, 7881 Webbs Mill Road, Spring Hope. The Rev. Buddy Wagnon will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday prior to the service from 2 – 2:45 p.m. at Stony Hill Free Will Baptist Church, Middlesex and other times at home of her son, Donald. Gertrude is survived by her son, Donald Saunders and wife, Bernice W. of Middlesex; granddaughters, Sharon S. Harris and husband, Kevin of Bailey and Shannon S. Brantley and husband, Allen of Zebulon; great-grandchildren, Christian Brantley and Lexi Harris, and her brother, John Strickland of Middlesex.
