Glenda Webb Whitley

Glenda Webb Whitley, 80, of Wilson, passed away Monday. A private family Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, March 3, 2022, in Evergreen Cemetery. Rev. Daniel Arant will officiate.

Glenda loved her family more than anything, she was a great Mother and Grandmother. She was also an avid fan of the Duke Blue Devils basketball team. She also spent her time working on jig saw puzzles as a favorite pass time.

Glenda is survived by her daughters, Cynthia “Cindy” Whitley of the home and Christy Whitley Ballance and husband, Ken, of Kenly; and two loving grandchildren, Haley Ballance & Hayden Ballance; brother, Ralph Webb of Wilson; sister, Agnes Robbins of Elm City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Whitley, who was the love of her life; parents, James and Mamie Webb; brother, Francis Webb and sisters, Dixie Moore, Cleo Reason and Gladys Webb.

Flowers are welcome as well as memorials made in Glenda’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
