Grace Shealy Winstead February 25, 1925 – June 12, 2014

Grace Shealy Winstead, 89, a resident of Parkwood Village, passed away Thursday. The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 612 Vance Street NE, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. John Drosendahl will officiate.

The family will receive friends 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway.

Grace was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all that knew her. She was loved and will be greatly missed.

Grace is survived by her daughters, Kay Reinmiller and husband, Dick of Lincoln, NE, and Tyre Cale and husband, Larry of Wilson; her son, Phil Winstead and wife, Sue of Town Creek; her granddaughters, Michelle Reinmiller, Megan Cale, and Deanne and Laurie Winstead; her grandsons, Michael Reinmiller and Steven Winstead; her great-grandchildren, Addilynn and Waylon Winstead, Caleb Byrd, and Carter Meints; and her step-great-granddaughter, Dorothy Winstead.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty-seven years, Edward J. Winstead; her parents, Frank and Cleo Shealy; and seven siblings.
