April 21, 1958 – July 30, 2014

Gregory Alan Roberts, 56, of Wilson passed away Wednesday.  A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at West Nash United Methodist Church, 2200 W. Nash Street, Wilson.  The Rev. Stuart Milton and Rev. Dan Earnhardt will officiate. The family will receive friends 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway. Greg is survived by his sons, Gregory Alan Roberts II and wife, Lora of Atlanta, Georgia, and Christopher Benjamin Roberts and wife, Ann of Washington, DC; his granddaughters, Anna Grace Roberts of Atlanta, Georgia and Emily Mei Roberts of Washington, DC; his parents, Thomas Edwin and Evelyn Payne Roberts of Wilson; his sisters, Teresa Roberts of Lucama and Leslie Cockrell and husband, Doug of Wake Forest; and his brother, Bill Roberts and wife, Susan of Mt. Holly.  Greg is also survived by his niece, Allison Roberts and three nephews, Thomas “Woody” Cockrell, Watson Cockrell, and William Roberts II. In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Greg Roberts may be directed to West Nash United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 8298, Wilson, NC 27893.
