Gwendolyn "Gwen" Perry Beaman

Gwendolyn “Gwen” Perry Beaman, 90, of Lucama passed away on Monday, August 14.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 26 at 10:00 am at Mount Pleasant Methodist Church, 6048 Mount Pleasant Rd, Bailey.  Interment will immediately following the visitation at Bailey Cemetery.  Reverend Craig Simmons will officiate.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 26 at Mount Pleasant Methodist Church immediately following the funeral service.

Gwen is survived by her daughters, Vanessa Beaman Price of Wilson and Phyllis James Carpenter of Lucama; grandson, Justin Dow Price of Florida; granddaughter, Allison Vanessa Price of Raleigh; grandson, Jonathan Morgan Price of Asheville; grandson, Matthew James Turner of Bethel; granddaughter, Rebekkah Denise Carpenter of Lucama; beloved sisters, Marlean Glover of Bailey and Linda Thomasson of South Carolina; brother, Hal Perry of Raleigh; and many precious nieces and nephews.

Gwen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Melvin Dow Beaman; brothers, William Forrest Perry, Jr.; sister, Gilda Gray Shearin; brothers, Tommy Perry and Jerry Perry; and parents, William Forrest and Nannie Beatrice Morgan Perry.
