Harold David Glover
January 19, 1948 – August 4, 2021
Harold David Glover, 73, of Wilson, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. David was a loving husband, wonderful father, loyal brother, and exceptional friend. He was married to the love of his life, Beth, for fifty-two years and raised a family of three boys, Dave, Will and Brian.
David was an avid outdoorsman and animal lover who loved spending time hunting with family, sitting on his back porch and making friends on Facebook. He always had a love of the land and spent his working years creating multiple businesses in the agriculture industry. While David was an entrepreneur at heart, he was an avid public servant having served on the boards of the Wilson County Board of Education, Wilson County Board of Commissioners and Wilson Memorial Hospital. He was a vocal advocate for the community and institutions that bettered the lives of Wilson County citizens. David was a graduate of Ralph L. Fike High School and the North Carolina State Agricultural Institute.
David is survived by his wife, Beth Glover; sons, David (Melissa) of Clayton, Will (Emily) of Oakton, Virginia, and Spencer Glover of Sims; his seven grandchildren, Emma, Noah, Clara, Joe, Grace, JW and Ben; sister, Anne Briley and brother-in-law, Ronnie; sisters-in-law; Dianne Barnes and Carol Cox, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Thomas Glover, and his parents, Anne M. Glover and Harold Glover.
The family would like to thank all the friends for the calls and support during this difficult and unexpected time.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, August 7th, 2021, at First Baptist Church, 311 W Nash Street, Wilson.
