Harold Dale Yelverton

Harold Dale Yelverton November 29, 1951 – December 22, 2020 Harold Dale Yelverton, 69 of Black Creek passed away Tuesday. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Harold enjoyed participating and coaching youth sports for his sons. He enjoyed being a doting PaPa. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing, visiting Ocracoke Island, and he looked forward to the Bluegrass Festival each year. Harold was a graduate of East Carolina University, and he was a lifetime fan of their sporting programs and the Boston Red Sox. Harold had strong ties to his community, and he loved and served his church. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Janie Yelverton; his sons, Will Yelverton and wife, Tiffany and Wyatt Yelverton and wife, Hollis; grandchildren, Carter, Connor, Catherine and Elizabeth and his brothers, Barnes Yelverton, Jim Yelverton and Fred Yelverton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Barnes and Iris Mattie Davis Yelverton.
