Herman “Ed” Wells, 70, of Zebulon passed away Sunday.  A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday at Independence Pentecostal Holiness Church, 8672 New Sandy Hill Church Road, Bailey.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.  The Rev. Phil Hawley will officiate. The family will receive friends 7 – 9 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at 1505 Carroll Heights Road, Zebulon. Ed is survived by his wife, Deloris Johnson Wells of the home; his sons, Donald Wells and Barbie Campbell of Kenly and Herman Lynn Wells and wife, Lisa of Kenly; his grandchildren, Brandon Wells and April Cascell; his five great grandchildren; his sisters, Blanche Carpenter of Rocky Mount, Janet Wells of Rocky Mount and Lucy Jane Braswell and husband, William of Momeyer; his brothers, Steve Wells and wife, Susan of Lucama, Mack Wells and wife, Shirley of Wilson and Willie Lee Wells of Lucama and his special nieces, Amy Wells Marlow and Sandy Wells Godwin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie Lee Wells and Lettie May Wells and his brother, Bonnie Ray Wells.  Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net.
