Hilda Allen Barfield Gardner November 19, 1926 – September 14, 2017 Hilda Allen Barfield Gardner, 90, of Elm City passed away Thursday. Her funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Donnie Price will officiate. The family will receive friends 1:00 - 2:15 p.m., prior to service, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Hilda, a longtime member of Rosebud Baptist Church, is survived by her daughters, Nancy Norfleet and husband, Michael of Raleigh, Cynthia Childress and husband, Dale of Elm City and Frances Hutchinson and husband, Kenny of Williamston; son, Donny Gardner and wife, Lori of Wilson; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five sisters; five brothers; special friends, Connie Ballard and Hope Walston.
