Hilda Gay Farmer Rogerson January 4, 1940 – January 11, 2018 Hilda Gay Farmer Rogerson, 78, of Robersonville life ended with her family by her side after a long battle with cancer. Her funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Stantonsburg Town Cemetery, Stantonsburg. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 12 – 1:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Hilda was a dedicated employee of Merrill Lynch in Wilson for forty years; she retired in January of 2002. Hilda is survived by her husband, Billy Eli Rogerson; her two loving and caring children, Rhonda Farmer Mauldin and friend, Ernie of Robersonville, and Jamie Lee Farmer Watson and husband, Ray of Wilson; grandchildren, Sherry Lynn Garcia and husband, Orlando of Ponte Vedra, Florida, Dawn Watson Edmondson and husband, Wayne of Elm City, Bryant Lee Watson and wife, Ashley of Pinetops, and Taylor Rogerson of Robersonville; step-children, Kathy Rogerson of Robersonville, Allen Rogerson and wife, Lisa of Robersonville and Tracey Sawyer of Greenville; great-grandchildren, Caelan Hermon, Maddox and Mia Garcia of Ponte Vedra, Florida, Jemma and Colton Edmondson of Elm City, and Kaelee, Skyla, Eliza and Eleanor Watson of Pinetops; step-grandchildren, Brian Rogerson of Farmville, and Robyn Rogerson of Robersonville, and her sister, Janet Mercer Pridgen of Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Arthur and Louise Simmons Gay and husband, of forty-three years John Lee Farmer, he also passed from cancer in 2000; brother, William “Billy” Gay; step-son, Chris Rogerson, and son-in-law, Monty Mauldin. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Hilda’s memory can be made to The Service League of Greenville Hospice, 920 Wellness Drive, Greenville, North Carolina 27835.
