Hilda Barnes Gouldin
January 31, 1921 – January 23, 2015
Hilda Barnes Gouldin, 93, of Raleigh, formerly of Elm City, passed away Friday. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Elm City. The Rev. Mike Aiken will officiate.
The family will receive friends 6:30 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Hilda is survived by her daughters, Ann Gouldin of Blythewood, South Carolina and Mary “Boo” Gouldin of Raleigh; her sons, John Milton Gouldin, IV and wife, Elaine of Wake Forest and Henry Barnes Gouldin and wife, Debbie of Pawleys Island, South Carolina and her granddaughters, Kimberly Gouldin of Wake Forest and Leigh Gouldin of Seattle, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. John M. Gouldin, III; her parents, Dr. B.F. and Bertha Pridgen Barnes; her sisters, Annette B. Parsons and Edith B. Howard and her brothers, Dr. Henry Franklin Barnes, Elbert Pridgen Barnes and Warren Sharpe Barnes.
