Hildred “Nanny” Elizabeth Joyner, 86, of Bailey passed away Friday.  Funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.   Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in Bailey Town Cemetery, Bailey. The Rev. Charles Thompson will officiate.

 The family will receive friends Monday immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. “Nanny” was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all that knew her.  She will be truly missed by all that knew her and will be remembered with smiles and memories that will warm the heart. “Nanny” is survived by her daughters, Brenda Joyner Deans of Bailey, Linda Joyner, Sherry Goff and husband, Rev. Wayne of Fremont and Elaine Joyner Perry and husband, Ronnie of Bailey; her sons, “J.C.” Joyner of Bailey and “Doug” Joyner of Bailey; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Sue Temple of Virginia and her brothers, Tom Joyner of Indiana and Harris Joyner of California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Randolph Joyner and her parents, James Harris Joyner and Sadie Godwin Joyner.
