Hope Baines King

Hope Baines King, 65, of Durham/Bailey passed away Sunday. Her funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Friday, prior to service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Hope retired after 30 years of dedicated service to the U.S. Postal Service, in Durham. After her retirement she relocated back home to Nash County.
Hope is survived by son, Dewey Lee Hardie and wife, Tammy of Louisburg; daughter, Audrey Danielle Hardie of Bailey; sisters, Linda Faye Batchelor and husband, Leon of Wilson, Joy Castleton and husband, Bill of Greenville and Pam Gardner of Rocky Mount; brother, Dwight Baines and wife, Donna of Farmville; grandchildren, Taylor and husband, Lance, Christopher and fiancé, Maranda, Jonathan and Sommer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dumie Baines; husband, George H. King; brothers, Kenneth, Royce, Larry, Willie, and Ronald Eugene Baines
