Howard Junior Hinnant August 30, 1945- June 15, 2016 Howard Junior Hinnant, 70, of Lucama passed away Wednesday. His funeral service will be conducted at 11a.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. The Rev. Debra Kerney will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Howard was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be missed by all. Howard is survived by his daughters, Tonya Hinnant of Wilson, Sandra Colbert Hinnant of Brunswick, Maryland, Tamy Hinnant of 29 Palms, California, and Truvalia Ashford of Raleigh; sons, Michael Hinnant of Lucama, and Howard Hinnant III of Fredrick, Maryland also Bernard Davis of Wilson and Melvin Davis of Sims, and their mother, Mary Davis; step-daughter, Crystal Morris and step-son, Charles Morris both of Fredrick, Maryland; sisters, Corrine Thomas of Pikeville, Maryland, Becky Hinnant of Bailey, and Mary Lee Hinnant of Baltimore, Maryland; brothers, Oscar and Steve Hinnant of Wilson and Stanley Hinnant of Bailey; and 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Louise Morris Hinnant. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be directed to Wilmed Hospice, 1705 S. Tarboro Street, Wilson, North Carolina 27893.
