Hubert Powell “Burt” Windham, Jr. April 27, 1959 – August 24, 2015 Burt Windham, 56, of Wilson passed away Monday. A memorial service will be held Thursday August 27th at 11:00am at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. The Pastor Elwood Long will officiate. Burt lived his life in Wilson, NC and was employed in lawn maintenance for many years. He loved to fish, ride his bike and spend time with his children and grandchildren. Burt is preceded in death by his parents Hubert Powell Windham, Sr. and Justine W. Braswell. Burt is survived by his daughter, Anna Windham of Wilson; son, Dean Windham (Nichole) of Lucama; sisters, Glenda W. Cooke of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, Dianne W. Anderson of Wilson, Terri W. Godwin (Michael) of Elm City, Angela W. Walls (Todd) of Hickory, NC; grandchildren, Jaylen Clay, Dean Windham II, Makenzie Windham, Jayana Windham, Callie Windham; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
