Idalia Oglesby High September 9, 1927 – June 8, 2020 Idalia Oglesby High, 92 of Wilson passed away Monday. Her funeral services will be conducted at 11a.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Steve Clayton will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday morning from 10 – 10:45 a.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Idalia was a graduate of Meredith College and East Carolina University. She was a member of Delta Kappo Gamma International and a charter member of Beta and Theta. She taught in Nash County Schools for thirty-eight years. Idalia was a member of First Baptist Church, local AARP Chapter, and was retired from NCRSP, North Carolina School Personnel. Idalia was a wonderful person, full of knowledge who will be greatly missed. Idalia is survived by her brother, Levi Calvin Oglesby, Sr. and wife, Shirley of Oak City; nieces and nephews, Levi C. Oglesby, Jr. and wife, Renee’, Stephen Andrew Oglesby and wife, Joy, Stephanie Oglesby, Marty Fisher and husband, Mitch, Tom Hollinshed, Jon Kleu and wife, Kim and Lori Kleu and many great nieces and nephews, She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior High; parents, George Andrew and Abscilla Cleo Hobbs Oglesby and her sisters, Lorette Oglesby Hollinshed, Lorene Oglesby Kleu and Rebecca Cleo Oglesby.
