Jackie E. Price
October 30, 1955 – February 16, 2020
Jackie E. “Jack” Price, 64, of Wilson passed away Sunday in the embrace of his family, after battling severe health issues for the past twenty years. A celebration of his life will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Visitation will be immediately following the service and other times at the home, 5000 Country Club Drive North, Wilson.
Jack’s first concern was always for his family, and he always put them before himself in all facets of their lives, nurturing their passions for art and music. He proudly worked as a small-business owner for the past forty five years, as a contractor and real estate agent. He also had a talent for refurbishing antique furniture. Jack had a love for the Beatles, and raised all three children with the band’s music. He also enjoyed spending his afternoons on this lawnmower, and talking with friends and neighbors around his fire pit.
Jack was a loving and devoted husband, to his wife of 40 years, Vanessa B. Price of the home; his daughter, Allison V. Price of Raleigh; sons, Justin D. Price of Orlando, Florida and Jonathan M. Price of Asheville; mother, Sadie H. Price of Kenly; mother-in-law, Gwen P. Beaman of Wilson; his three sisters and one brother.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Price, Jr.
Jack will be dearly missed, but is now at peace and in perfect health with his friends and family in heaven.
Condolences directed to Joyner’s Funeral Home and Crematory at www.joyners.net.
