Sadness can not describe how we feel with the loss of our Daddy, Papa and JPa, but joy is also felt with the knowing that he is healed, with his Lord and Savior and many of his family that have gone before him.
Jackie was always a hard worker from the time he was a little boy staying home from school helping his mama do laundry to working on the family farm. He opened “Jackie Waddell Mobile Home Movers”, in 1982 and was always working even when he couldn’t work, he always would ask about what the guys are doing today. Many people knew him through his business and his willingness to help anyone in need, family, and friends alike.
He was huge supporter of his home church, Bailey Church of God, and once served as clerk as well as firing up the grill for the many fundraisers they would have.
Jackie leaves behind his wife of sixty-four years, Peggy Bass Waddell; daughters, Debbie Griffin (Pee Wee), and Tammy Jackson (Corky); son, Jackie Waddell, Jr. (Shannon); grandchildren, Travis Griffin (Sarah), Brittany Currie (Daeqwon), and Jackson Waddell (Logan), great-grandchildren, Henry and Joey Griffin, Saveyah, Enoch and Lou Currie; sisters, Joyce Brantley (Melvin), Faye Perry (Bobby), Linda Boykin (Joe), and Brenda Crocker (Jimmy), and his brothers, Jimmy Waddell and Jerry Waddell.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, grandson, Justin Owens, parents, James and Estelle Barbee Waddell, and his brothers, Rudolph Waddell, Billy Waddell, and Bobby Waddell.
