James Alton Baker

James Alton Baker August 30, 1932 – September 17, 2015 James Alton Baker, 83, of Wilson passed away Thursday. His graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday in Stantonsburg Town Cemetery, Stantonsburg. The Rev. Elwood Long will officiate. The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Saturday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. James is survived by his loving wife of sixty-three years, Mary A. Baker of the home; his sons, James Earl Baker and wife, Cinzia of Elm City and Kenneth Alan Baker and wife, Dottie of Lucama; his granddaughters, Sandy Baker and Michelle Alligood; his great-grandsons, Kaemon, Ayden, Nicholas, and Gavan; his sister, Barbara Felton and brother, Bill Baker.
