James Edwin Barnes April 14, 1947 – June 21, 2017 James Edwin “Red” Barnes, 70, of Lucama passed away Wednesday. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday in Barnes Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10 a.m. – noon Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Red is survived by his wife, Lisa Barnes; daughters, Christina Barnes, Deborah Perry and husband, Neal of Kenly; son, James Barnes and wife, Tammy of Lucama; grandsons, Brandon Barnes, Hayden Lucas and M.J. Grounds; sister, Ann Boykin of Pikeville and brother, Dan Barnes and wife, Nancy of Spring Hope. In lieu of flowers memorials made be made to Joyner’s Funeral Home, P.O.
