James "Dee" Draughn High, III

James “Dee” Draughn High, III, 80, of Wilson passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025. The family will receive friends Saturday morning, March 1, 2025, from 10- 10:45 a.m. with funeral service to follow in our chapel at 11 a.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Interment will follow in Pikeville Town Cemetery, Pikeville. Rev. Randy Innes will officiate.

 James is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Connie High; sons, James High, IV and wife, Cara, and Rod High and wife, Kristel; grandchildren, Ethan High and Patricia, Joel High, Gavin High, and Logan High; great-grandchildren, Derian High and Kilian High, and his sister, Lou Ann Eatmon and husband, Ricky; nephews, Lee and Blake Eatmon, and his niece who became like a daughter, Kim Best and husband, Robbie.
