James Edward (Pete) Hardison August 1, 1928 – October 16, 2020 James Edward (Pete) Hardison, 92 of Stantonsburg passed away Friday, October 16, 2020. His graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Nash Street N Wilson, NC 27896 with Rev. Chuck Owens officiating. Pete served his country with honor and pride for 29 years with the US Army and the Air Force National Guard before retirement. He was a veteran. He also worked in the tobacco industry and retired after 40 years. Pete was a longtime member of the Moose and Shriners. He is survived by his wife, Ola Ramsey Hardison of the home; daughters, Kim DeLoatch of Raleigh, Lori Marschhauser of Apex, Diane Burch of Phenix City, AL.; sons, Lee Hardison of Wilson, Larry Ramsey of Emporia, VA; sister, Gray Little and husband Curtis of Wilson, brother, A.C. Hardison and wife Portia of Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Blanchard Jones and Sallie Ruth Hardison; brothers, Poodley Hardison and Tom Hardison.
