James William Hawley

James William Hawley August 25, 1938 – March 27, 2019 James William Hawley, 80, of Wilson passed Wednesday.  His memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.  The family will receive friends following the service Wednesday evening.  Pastor Dale Kitchin will officiate. James served his country with honor and pride with the U.S. Navy and retired as a probation officer in Wilson County. James is survived by his wife, Sandra T. Hawley of the home; son, Jamie Hawley and wife, Wendi of Wilson; granddaughter, Elizabeth Hawley and her mother, Linda Hawley Isbell; grandsons, Bryce Hawley and Brewer Hawley; sisters, Eleanor Gray Glover of Black Creek and Edna Scott of Moncks Corner, South Carolina and his brother, Rondel Hawley and wife, Jean of Raleigh. He was preceded in death by his first wife, June Elizabeth Strickland Hawley; son, Jeffrey Hawley; sister, Ethel Murphy and brother, Hoover Hawley.
