James Hicks April 30, 1951 – December 31, 2017 James Hicks, 66, of Rockingham, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Pastor Ronnie Connor will officiate. James is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Hicks “Lizzie” Witherington of Alabama, and Sonya Joiner; son, Bo Joiner of Alabama; his sisters, Jean Jones of Louise, Virginia, and Betty Ann Proctor of Middlesex; his brothers, Charles Clark of Jacksonville, and Albert Lee Clark of Jacksonville, and Melvin Cagle, his best friend.
