James "Jim" Wesley Fountain

James “Jim” Wesley Fountain, 86, of Wilson passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2025, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Rev. Mark Harrell will officiate.

 The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 1 – 1:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

 Jim had a long and rewarding career with Carolina Telephone Company/Sprint and retired in April of 1999 after forty-six years of faithful service.

 Jim is survived by his loving wife, Donna Fountain; daughters, Angela Fountain and Renee Enterline and husband, Chris; sister-in-law, Alda Ruth Fountain; nieces, Susan Proctor, Martha Cherry, and Paula Taylor; nephew, Michael Harrell, and his great nieces and great nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Susie Fountain; sister, Bonnie Tippett, and his brother, Garland Fountain.
