James Alexander Overton

James Alexander Overton, 22 passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023.  A special gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday morning from 10 – 11:30 a.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

James is survived by his parents, Gary and Kathryn Overton; brother, Taylor Overton and wife, Jamie; niece, Kylee Overton; paternal grandmother, Anne Margaret Overton; aunts and uncles, Kathy Wiita and Dwayne Allen Fisk, Thomas and Rill Overton, Eileen Overton Bannister, Ret. Capt. US Navy, Mark Peterson-Overton, Stephen and Janice Overton, and Joanne and Thomas Baker, and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, RET. LT. CMDR USN, Dudley Ray Overton, and maternal grandparents, Joseph and Barbara Fisk, and he has been reunited with his brother, Daniel Joseph Cassidy Overton in peace and eternal rest.
