James Edward Saunders March 27, 1957 – June 2, 2021 James “Eddie” Edward Saunders, 64 of Wilson passed away Wednesday. His funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Peace Church, 2838 Tilghman Road N, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Rusty Russell will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:30 – 9 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and Saturday afternoon from 2 – 2:45 p.m. at Peace Church, Wilson. Eddie is survived by his wife, Sheila Kiefer Saunders; son, Kyle Saunders and wife, Beth of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; daughters, Trisha Hayes of Wilson, and Jennifer Saunders of Wilson; grandchildren, Caitlin Fitzgerald, Haley Cockrell, Mallory Cockrell, Megan Hayes, Abigail Hayes, and Nash Saunders;great-grandchildren, Mia Applegate, David Craig, Serenity Applegate and Emma Cockrell; sister, Mary Sawyer of Wilson; brother, Jimmy Saunders of Wilson and several nieces and nephews.
