James Kenneth Tyson

James Kenneth Tyson December 21, 1951 – May 04, 2017 James Kenneth Tyson, 65, of Wilson, passed away Thursday. A celebration of his life will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. The family will receive friends following the service. Kenny worked hard during his lifetime but more than anything he enjoyed hanging out with his kids and grandkids. His home was always open to family and friends. Kenny also enjoyed playing guitar and he loved rock-n-roll music. He is survived by his sons, Jason Tyson and wife, Joni of Wilson, Michael Tyson and wife Mandy of Wilson, and Matthew Tyson and wife, Claire of Wilmington; granddaughters, Mackenzie, Beth, Carrie and Katy Tyson, and his grandsons, Cayden and Matt Tyson.
