Janet Faye Evans

Janet Faye Evans, 79 of Lucama passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023.  A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.  Pastor Ron Horner will officiate.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson.

Janet is survived by her loving husband, fifty-four years, Alfred Evans of the home; sons, Robert “Bobby” Cambra, William “Billy” Cambra and wife, Shannon, Anthony “Tony” Cambra, and Alfred Michael “Peanut” Evans, Jr. and wife, Kathy; daughter, Carla Evans Starling and husband, Joey; fifteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Wade Self and husband, Guy, and her loving dog, Lexi.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Tinnie Davis Garris; father, Raymond Carraway, and her brothers, Raymond “Buddy” Carraway, Jr., and Horace “Dick” Lee Carraway.
