Janet Allen Pridgen

Janet Allen Pridgen November 8, 1954 – February 15, 2021 Janet Allen Pridgen, 66 of Wilson passed away Monday. Her funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. The Rev. Kelly Smart will officiate. Janet loved golf, bowling, softball and basketball, and she was an avid Duke fan. She was graduate of Rock Ridge High School. Janet was dearly loved and will be missed by her family and friends. Janet is survived by her son, Matthew Pridgen and wife, Meghan of Raleigh; grandson, Joshua Pridgen and step-grandsons, Caleb Powlitch and Ethan Powlitch; sisters, Patricia Capps and husband, Phil of Wilson, Peggy Hall and husband, Phil of Wilson and Rose Caffee and husband, Jesse of Leland; brothers, Wilbert Allen “Sam” Allen, Jr. of Wilson, Dennis Ray Allen of Sims, and Timothy Dale Allen and wife, Terri of Stanhope; several nieces and nephews; special caregivers and her loving furry friends, Cassie and Belle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert Allen and Annie Belle High Allen.
