JaneWade Smiley Smith November 10, 1950 – October 4, 2021 JaneWade Smiley Smith, 70 of Wilson passed away Monday. Her funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Dr. Benjamin Quinn, Pastor and Minister Kevin Conner will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 – 6:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. JaneWade is survived by her loving husband of fifty-three years, Elton C. Smith, Jr.; sons, Elton C. “Clee” Smith, III and wife, Lara, and Scott Smith; sister, Connie Batts and husband, Dwight; sisters-in-law, Brenda Smith Wood and husband, Marvin, and Cathy Smith Wood and husband, Bobby; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews, and countless number of special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Wade and Marcile Davis Smiley. JaneWade was a lifelong member of the Women of the Moose, Wilson 150.
