Jared Charles Lucas

Jared Charles Lucas, 24, of Wilson passed away Sunday evening. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2024, at White Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 3967 W. Hornes Church Road, Bailey. Pastor Hal Jones and Pastor Daniel Lancaster will officiate.

 The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

 Jared was easy going, loved to swing in a swing, listening to music, and he enjoyed drag racing, the Carolina Hurricanes and the Pittsburg Steelers. Jared favorite place to hang was The Downtown Public House. He was a waiter with Parker’s Barbecue in Wilson.

 Jared is survived by his mother, Charlotte Price Lucas Hamm and husband, James; father, Derek Lucas and wife, Angela; brothers, Brandon Lucas, and Carter Lucas; step-sister, Alexis Thompson; maternal grandfather, Charlie Price; aunts, Tonya Gill and husband, Charlie, and Dana Innis and husband, Donahue; uncles, Charles Price, Jr. and wife, Teresa, and Benny Lucas; and several cousins which include Jacob Clifford his best friend and cousin.

 He was preceded in death by his brother, Colby Lucas; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Price; paternal grandparents, Betty and Benny Lucas; aunt, Terry Lucas; uncle, Gregory Charles Lucas, and cousin, Stephanie Clifford.
