Jasper Lewis Williams

Jasper Lewis Williams, 76, of Bailey passed away Tuesday. A celebration of his life will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. The Rev. Pastor Darrel Bowles will officiate.
The family will receive friends Sunday prior to the service from 3 – 4:45 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the homes of Stephanie and Beth.
Lewis was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all that knew him. He was a quiet man that loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Lewis was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Lewis is survived by his daughters, Beth Anna Liles and husband, Denny of Bailey, and Stephanie Williams Hagwood and husband, Joe of Bailey; his grandsons, Nick Liles, Ben Liles, Will Liles, and Paul Hagwood; his sisters-in-law, Diane Horton and husband, David, Jean Turner and husband, Gene, Jean Williams, and Patricia Williams; his nieces, Debbie Cary, Pam Williams, Ginger Batts, Holly Davis; his nephew, Brandy Williams, and his beloved dog, Maggie.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Williams; his parents, Loomis and Eva Williams, and his brothers, R.J. Williams, and Billy Williams.
The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to his lifelong friend, Melvin Murray for his friendship and many visits.
