Jeffrey Mark Parrish, of Wilson, North Carolina, passed away on April 22nd, 2025. Born and raised in Wilson, Jeff was known for his kind heart, genuine nature, and easygoing spirit. He had a special way of making people feel at ease and brought joy to those around him with his fun-loving personality and unwavering loyalty.
Jeff proudly served his community as a North Carolina Highway Patrol officer before retiring, a career that reflected his dedication to helping others and making a difference. Above all, he loved his family and friends deeply, and they were the center of his world.
He is survived by his children; Lauren Parrish and her significant other, Chavis, and Nicholas Parrish; his mother, Elna Strickland, and stepfather, Tommy Strickland; his siblings, Woody Parrish, Wanda Parrish, and Elaine Hathcock; and his nieces and nephew, Leslie Lamm, Ashley Parrish, and Matthew Parrish.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thurman Woodrow Parrish.
A graveside service for family and close friends will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Liver Foundation or a local community service organization in Jeff’s honor.
Jeff’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
