(facebook.com/stoneybrookchurch) Jerry was born July 23, 1958 in Wilson County to Ruby Newsome and Rayford Crocker. Jerry loved many things about his life, but his three favorites were the Lord, his family, and The UNC Tar Heels. Jerry was a dedicated member of Stoneybrook Christian Church where he worshipped for the last twenty years and served as a deacon. He enjoyed any and every occasion for a get together with his family members. He especially enjoyed the occasions around Christmas and Independence Day when the extended family would gather. He loved to fish and was especially fond of the times when his grandkids were available for the trip. Jerry was an avid Tarheel fan. He never missed a game and knew as much about the recruiting classes as the coaches. Jerry was a hard worker who enjoyed a wonderful work family at PLT Construction where he worked as a safety officer. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Rayford Crocker; mother, Ruby Newsome, stepfather, Floyd Newsome, and brother, Carlton Crocker. He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Sara Crocker; sons, Jerry Glenn Crocker, Jr. (Jessica) of Washington, North Carolina and William Thomas Crocker (Sasha) of Fuquay Varina; daughter, Natalie Crocker Westbrook (Matthew) of Greenville, South Carolina; grandchildren, Colin, Carter, Brennen, Eli, Kate and Aria; sister Linda Winstead (Cornell)and a large, loving extended family and a four-legged friend named Copper.
