Jerry Franklin Harold February 10, 1942 – July 6, 2016 Jerry Franklin Harold, 74, of Wilson, from Hot Springs, Virginia passed away Wednesday. His funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. LaVon Phillips will officiate and Mr. Daniel Lancaster will assist. The family will receive friends Monday, July 11, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Jerry had retired from Old Dominion Freight Lines after working thirty-four years and was an employee of Wedgewood Golf Course for the last twelve years. He loved golf, hunting, fishing and his church. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and a friend to all that knew him. He will be greatly missed by all. Jerry is survived by his wife of fifty years, Susan “Sue” Kimberlin Harold of the home; his sons, Troy Harold and wife, Tammy of Elm City, and Jeff Harold and wife, Julia of Wilson; granddaughters, Morgan Harold, and Shaelyn Harold; his grandsons, Reed Harold, Tanner Harold, Scott Harold, and Camden Harold; sister, Sheilah Warlitner and husband, Preston of Archdale, and his brother, Billy Harold and wife, Pat of Stuarts Draft, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Raymond Harold and Geraldine Andrews Harold Rose, and his brothers, Jimmy Harold, and Edward Rose, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jerry’s honor may be directed to the Surge Center, c/o Farmington Heights Church of God, 910 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson, North Carolina 27896.
