Jim Berry Worrell June 28, 1938 – January 7, 2016 Jim Berry Worrell, 77, of Sims passed away Thursday. Jim was a prominent business man for fifty-two years in Wilson. His funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Stantonsburg Town Cemetery, Stantonsburg. The Rev. LaVon Phillips will officiate. The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Jim was the owner of Worrell’s Used Cars in Wilson for fifty-two years, along with his wife, Ethelene and his sons, Barry and Greg Worrell. Jim is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Ethelene Worrell of the home; his sons, Jim Barry Worrell and wife, Stephanie of Wilson, and Gregory Lee Worrell and wife, Jennifer Dawn of Sims; his granddaughters, Fletcher Worrell and Lily Worrell; grandsons, Bryson Worrell and Nicholas Worrell; his brother, Frank Worrell and wife, Carolyn of Black Creek; and Selma Whitley, special cousin of Evansdale. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Franklin and Bertha Bass Worrell, and his brothers, Hubert and Harvey Worrell.
