Jimmy Garland Bass, Jr. June 18, 1967 – January 14, 2019 Mr. Jimmy Garland Bass, Jr., 51, of Lucama, NC died at his residence on Monday, January 14, 2019. He was born in Wilson County, NC June 18, 1967 a son of the late Ida Pearl Thompson Crumpler and Jimmy Garland Bass, Sr. of Pacolet, SC. Jimmy was employed with Bridgestone/Firestone where he worked for 20 years. Jimmy was also a Veteran of United States Navy. Surviving in addition to his father is his wife, Vickie Lynn Skinner Bass of the home; son, Alexander Grey Bass of Asheville, NC; Step-Daughters, Amanda Swain and her husband, Roland of Kingsland, GA and Jessica Batten Seymour and her husband, Jeremy of Grifton, NC; sisters, Kimberly Louise Bass of Lucama, NC and Beverly Joyner and her husband, Chris of Stoney Creek, VA.; Step-Brothers, Tim and Jerry Bass. In addition to his mother Mr. Bass was predeceased by his Step-Father, Carroll (Red) Crumpler and Step-Mother, Judy Bass. Jimmy was a good Christian man, who loved the Lord and his church family. He was a kind, humble, and loving man. He will be loved and missed by all his family and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Joyner\'s Funeral Home. Funeral service for Mr. Bass will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Joyner’s Funeral Home with the Reverend Barry Stallings. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
