Jimmy D. Jones, Sr. July 21, 1932 – February 9, 2017 Jimmy D. Jones, Sr., 84, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday. His funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, 9289 S NC Hwy 581, Bailey.  Interment will follow in Bailey Town Cemetery, Bailey.  The Rev. Charles Robl and Rev. Carlos Castano will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Saturday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the family home. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Judy Jones of the home; his daughter, Jeannine Trimmer and husband, Bill of Bailey; his sons, Jimmy Jones, Jr. and wife, Barbara of Bailey, and Jeffrey Jones and wife, Candace of Bailey; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and his sister, Betty Lou Vaughn and husband, Ervin of Bailey. He was preceded in death by his parents, John R. Jones, Sr. and Sadie Leigh Jones, and his brother, John Raymond Jones, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been requested in Jimmy’s memory to the Mt.
